Who Rocks Your World?

Ok, so I’m here at the Hard Rock Hotel (I’ll tell you the story later), and each floor of the hotel has memorabilia from various rockers.

Tell me who’s your favorite, of the following, and I’ll take a picture of their original memorabilia and post it. (They’re either signature instruments or clothing–or both.)

In order of floors:

  • Styx
  • Rolling Stones
  • Aerosmith
  • Beatles
  • Bob Dylan
  • BB King
  • Cheap Trick
  • Chicago
  • Madonna
  • AC/DC
  • John Entwhistle (The Who)
  • Elton John
  • Elvis Presley
  • Prince
  • Annie Lennox
  • Tina Turner
  • Jimi Hendrix
  • Kiss
  • Lenny Kravitz
  • Led Zeppelin

I’ll get a photo of either the favorite in the comments — or maybe all the favorites if I have time and fortitude — before I leave Sunday, to put on the blog! Except perhaps the one on the concierge floor, I’m not that devious.

This place is WILD….

  1. BB King is more my style now, but Prince has been a favorite for a long time. I’m such a child of the 80’s I can’t help but still love him.

  2. Rolling Stones. Aerosmith. AC/DC. (Yeah, I’m an old hard rock kinda gal.)

  3. Elton John. He put out a great album called “Too Low for Zero” that I love. “I’m Still Standing” is one of the songs from it. His flashiness always appealed to me.

  4. OMGOMG look at that list! So hard to choose! I want to look like Tina Turner when I’m her age, I have a great admiration for her. And Annie Lennox (though in truth, I don’t especially know much of her music, but I still like her). BB King seems like such a class act, and I love his music. I’ve also come to admire Elton John and like his music more than I did when it was first popular. The Beatles and the Rolling Stones are so iconic… (I’m not helping here, am I?). Aerosmith and Led Zeppelin mostly remind me of being a teenager and hanging out around some car drinking beer, or the ‘slow dance’ (=just stand there and move as little as possible) at the school dances for Stairway to Heaven. Hard to feel nostalgic about all that… I liked Bob Dylan’s early music, but he seems pretty egotistical. The rest I can take or leave… though I do have some admiration for Prince, he is so odd, but straight up about it.

  5. The Stones! Tina Turner, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin! How cool!! My one true love is Bob Dylan.

  6. Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, The Who (cuz I’m a big CSI fan too!!), Annie Lennox!

  7. Hey –

  8. Love, love, love early Who. And Annie Lennox’s voice gives me chills. I’m also a fan of early Elton John. Have fun here in Chicago!

  9. For me, hands down The Beatles…but if it were me, I’d be stalking every single floor for step by step pics…. lol

  10. Chicago please! Love horns with my guitars. Have a great time, sounds like fun!

  11. I’m going to have to go with Aerosmith! No….Prince! No how about Bob Dylan? No….BB King….argh!

  12. Hey–the manager said you could go anywhere. That’s what he meant, right? Just to say so, I loved the Who forever.

  13. Hard Rock Hotel?? That’s nice! Never been to Chicago but the there is one in Bali.

From list of artistes, Madonna gets my vote. She may not have the best voice nor is she the most naturally talented but she certain makes up for it with her hard work.
