And they’re off!

First, an early morning Saturday Sky; usually there’s a bluff in the picture, but today there’s rather a lot of fog in the way:

Under this foggy sky, we will momentarily be departing for a fun-filled Birthday Weekend — not mine, but my husband’s and daughter’s. Actually, Monday and Tuesday are The Days, but traditionally we celebrate and do something fun this weekend when possible.

So today, we are heading north to Minneapolis/St. Paul, where tomorrow we will revel at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival, and on Labor Day we will eat too many foods-on-a-stick at the Minnesota State Fair. I am very much looking forward to both these events — almost too much fun for one weekend, but you gotta take your fun when you can, since most weekends after this will be occupied by Nutcracker Ballet rehearsals (for the girls, not me this time).

However, I have a very special treat in store — much better than anything on a stick — it’s something that goes on TWO sticks!

Deb very kindly allowed me to horn in on her Wollmeise order.

Here’s what I am looking forward to seeing tomorrow when I meet Deb and friends for a Saturday knit-out in St. Paul. Not only seeing — but some of it is coming home with me!!

Do you think my husband will believe me when I tell him the yarn just followed me home?
